Recent work has focused on the history of Stroud cloth mills and research has led onto the weavers in India too.

The humanity and strength of spirit of the weavers and the way they were treated evokes a deep emotional response into the injustices that prevailed.

I’m both inspired and humbled by the extraordinary capacity of the human spirit to endure and be resilient in the face of adversity.
I hope I’ve conveyed this in my illustration of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022.
